Adam's bi-directional glenn went very well. We were in the OR for near 8 hours, recovery went well since we had the surgery on friday the 10th, and then discharged Aug 14th 2007.
Adam's vent was taken out Aug 11th, 2007 at 5:00 pm put on 02, Sunday the 12th was a bit rough for he was running a high temp post op- and he had what they called the glenn headache still on 02 and room air it was up and down and was douced in wet rags all over his body and head . Monday the 13th, 2007 we were moved to the floor for overnight observation off the 02, tuesday morning the 14th, 2007 we were discharged.. stayed over night at the ronald mc donald house. Adam will be recovering for near 6 to 8 weeks, this is so that he can heal without any problems or complicatons.
Adam has been really winey, and in some discomfort. but can you really blam him, I would feel the same way..
