Happy 4th of July..
Hello friends,
Here is our update so far.
As you all know we went on a family vacation to Denmark June 6th til June 22nd. Adam did very well on his flight there, and on his flight home, however my little stinker decided to stay awake for the 9 hour flight home, we made use of alot of walking the aircraft. We also have anouther trip planned to Kentucky to visit Grandma and Grandpa Broucek July 25th to the 29th.
while in Denmark Adam enjoyed himself, he went on roller coaster rides for little ones, met alot of John's family and even celebrated his 3rd great grandma's 97th birthday celebration. We toured to the west coast of denmark and saw the big ocean, in which he just loved.
Soon after we renturned we had an ER visit to Children's, Adam started to run a temp of 104.5, and was breathing rapidly, along with his heart rates rising.
They run some tests in which it started to show a slight infection, not knowing where they put him on IV fluids and an antibotic. We were admitted to the hospital room in which we stayed two days. Adam is home now back to himself, with a horse voice. Hopefully this Virus will pass soon. We have been in touch with alot of Chicago Families and we are planning a meeting at brookfield zoo on August 9th, 2008. This will be alot of fun. So as of right now we are doing well. Adam will have anouther Cardio APO on August 18th. We will update you again shortly after. Please take a peek at our most recent pictures.
Thank you all for your much love and support.
Hugs to you all.
Love,

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
Hello Friends,
WOW! Adam is doing great. We had a cardiology APO on May 12th, 2008. Dr. Guleyuz said that Adam looks great, pulses are strong, his o2 sats were in the upper 80's. We had a Echo Graph, and of course my little stinker did not want to cooperate, so we were able to look at his right ventricle, which is as the doctor put it pumping very nicely. We were not able to get a chance to look at Adam's Glen on the neck area, because at that point Adam did not want anyone near his neck. Other then that Doctor gave the full clearence for our Eourpe trip to Denmark, and feels that we will have no issues. We will on a caution side of things fly with a heart and sat monitor, and stand by oxygen. Our trip is in the beginning of June, and we are all so very excited. We are hoping to meet with some friends I have made through the internet, that have children in the same position as us, so this will be fun. Adam is still crawling but picking up speed, He is trying to walk with much caution LOL!. I have joined him in a play group to interact with other children, and he just loves it.
Alexcis is doing great however heading in to her pre-teens, so we have decided to get her involved in alot of activities to keep her busy. In July she will be in Hip-Hop dance classes, and then in the fall she wants to join basketball, and acting lessons. So as you can all see we will be busy too.
Other then that we will update you again when we return from our trip in June.
Thank you all for your much love and support with prayers, we really all appreciate that.
Have a Happy day.
With love,

His pulses are strong, and his EKG looked great. We did have an ultrasound on the heart and really not too much has changed, Adam still is showing signs of his right ventricle on the bottom moving sluggish, which in return we will keep a close eye on. Adam also has been cleared to FLY!! yep that meens a trip will be soon, for we all really need one :).
We were also sent home today on a 24 hour monitor, to watch his heart rythums, Post OP standards I guess.. Other then that he remains a strong viking.. Our next cardiology apointment is in three months, yep I said it THREE MONTHS.. so April YEAH!!!.
Also Adam will be turning the big 1 in march...
Well that about sums it up. Please stay in tune for I will be updating pictures alot.

Well did however pick up a virus called "Croup" so we are day to day recovering, No hospitalizations so far (GOOD)!!. Adam is also showing signs of getting some teeth on his bottom jaw. This is Adam's first Christmas, and we are so blessed to share it with him. Of course he is getting spoiled. Alexcis had her christmas concert and it was alot of fun, and she is just growing up.
Other then things we are all doing OK. and awaiting to open all of our presents and share some good cheer into the New Year.

Hello,
and happy holiday shopping to you all :0) LOL!!
Not to throw the subject off, but some lady was just admiring Adam
today in Target, then I proceeded on about Adam and his CHD, I felt
bad for the lady, because she started to cry. Then she said that she
loves children so much that this time of the year she gets really
emotional.
Adam saw Dr. Guluyez today november 26, 2007 (Cardiologist) , and All went really, really well. Adam's post glen sats today were 87 to 92, BP was
excellent, and heart rates are good. He didn't feel that he needed
to do an echo today, so that is always good.. Dr. G said that he
would like to see Adam in 2 months... I was shocked, because I have
been seeing the cardiologist every month since I found out about
Adam's heart condition. So its a bit weird to hear see you in 2
months..
He said that Adam is doing real well, and doesn't see anything that
would cause any alarms...
YIPPI, I pray that Adam keeps up the good job, he has been doing so
very well..

7 Months old.. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello everyone, well we have an update. Prior to Sept. 18th, Adam had anouther Cardiology visit with Dr. Gulecyuz, As is going well Adam's heart functions are good and Adam looks great, However his cardiologist noticed that the very bottom of Adam's right ventricle is not pumping to what they exspect, so in the mean time Dr. Gulecyuz did a bit of looking into why this is: our conclusions were, That Dr. Gulecyuz spoke to Adam's heart surgeon Dr. Backer, as per our surgeon he advised that when they place the Sano Shunt in the heart during the first procedure that they make an incision at the bottom of the right ventricle, there is a possiablity that to why the bottom of the right ventricle is pumping the way it is, so Dr. Gulecyuz is going to watch this area very closely. We will she him again November 27th. So lets see if that area is healed enough to work again properly.
As for that Adam also this month had a 3 day stay in the PICU at St. Alexcius in Hoffman Estates, IL. He was admitted for the possiablites of having Pnemiona, whiled our stay there he had all sorts of Viro tests done, like RSV, Influensa and so on.. The very good thing from this was that he had neither of any of this, so he was discharged with a diagnoses of a very bad Viro infections, I would call it a severe cold.. He his feeling much better now.
Adam is doing so much more now, he has said his first words in his own way, and those words are "HI" and Mommy. He is sitting on his own, playing with all of his toys, but mostly with his favorite monster truck and his musical piano, I think he dreams of these two toys while he is napping because his naps are much shorter now, and less. Adam still isn't eating any baby food, so I am tring to give him some gradually. He is taking a bath in the BIG bath tub and just loves it.. He looks very much forward to seeing his sister "Alexcis" after school.. Also for halloween Adam is going to be a little Monster, and Alexcis I think she is going to be a Zombie, its a made up costume to me it looks like a zombie.
Well enjoy our recent pictures and I 'll update again in one month, otherwise check often for picture updates.
